choppy take off.?.
This may be hard to explain. When I take off from a stop, just enough to let out the clutch all the way then put it to the floor it will lightly chug. Kinda like if you were to let off the gas and reapply it quickly. It has a complete tune up within the past 5000 miles. I also aquired a new oil leak right by the Vtec plug. I cannot see exactly where it is but around that area. Is this a common spot for this to happen?

The Vtec solenoid, should i Just replace it. And stop the leak?
Indeed, your right about that. But from time to time it seems to act as if has lost power also. Peppy one minute, next lacking. Ohh also, sometimes when i start it It act's like the timing needs to be advanced. Very sluggish when started. But that happens only on occasions.

hmmmmmmmm, very interesting. i mean it definitely could be a clutch problem, does the chugging happen all the way through the rpm range? or just down low? does it gett better, does it go away completely, does it do it everytime?
Only under 2500rpms, It completely goes away after that. It seems like a fuel issue or spark/timing. Can the engine be shot with a timing light?
it sure can (the timing light). mine was doing this too when i backed off my timing. when i advanced it again after winter it was fine. meh i need a tune up. i actually think my distributor is going going gone.
I guess Ill get the timeing light out. Also seems not that the vtec is not kicking in.
