you need to bleed your brakes since you took off your master cylinder

Anyways, its easy to bleed the brakes. Start by filling your master cylender up. Second find someone to help you, third, have your helper pump the brake pedal a few times, and have him hold it. Well the helper is holding the brake pedal, go to the rear passenger side, you will see eather a red/blue or black rupper cap. Take that off, you will see that it is a nipple, find the wrench that fits it, (I think its a size 10 can't remember). Just light crack the screw lose, brake fluid will start to come out (the more you open it the faster it comes out, so open it very slowly). lave it open for just a few seconds or until fluid starts coming out all the time (the first few times you do it, it might spit, thats good your getting all the air out of your brakes). Keep pumping the brakes and cracking it lose till fluid comes out all the time. Then go to the rear drivers side, do the same. Then go to the front passenger side, turn the well all the way right, so you can get to the nipple, repeat on the drivers side. Then refill your master cylender. And test your brakes out.

You don't have to take the master cylinder to replace your alternator.

The nipple is on the back of the hub for the rears, and the nipple is on the back of the calibers for the front. You might have to jack your car up, depends on how low it sits.

The nipple is on the back of the drum, Im sorry.

Im glad you figured it out, but I did forget to say, everytime you crack the nipple lose, the brakes will go right to the floor. Then well your partner is holding the brakes to the floor. You tighten the screw, then have him pump them again, and open the nipple. And just keep doing that over and over to all of them untill your brakes feel good.

HAHAHA. nice. ya bleed your brakes start from farthest from the brake master cylinder. which should be passenger side drum, then drivers side drum, passenger side front caliper, drivers side caliper. pump the break atleast 3 time to insure the air is shot out, hold the breaks down and close the "nipple"HAHA. then pump and pressurize and repeat till no air bubbles are visible. but otherwise everytime you take release a part from the braking system be sure to release all air from the system! always have an extra bottle of dot 3 fluid with you while doing this

it woulda been wayyy easier to remove the drivers side cv axle then drop the alternator out that way then tryin to take it out the top by removing the master...never heard of goin thru that much trouble

Alighty bud, try talkin a little more ****. We are obviously talking about the bleeder nipple, not the brake line itself. You mention vise grips when we are talking about something easily acessible with a standard wrench, so I say how retarded that is... As for the brake line yes, that is more of a specialty tool and sometime vise grips are needed as an open ended wrench will just strip it if you dont have a wrench to borrow or dont want to spend the few bucks. Got that. Your a ****in tool, "I win, level up" Get a ****in life and quit talkin smack over the internet. Your gonna pop my avatar, how cute, this is 3rd, or 4th grade?

If you were intelligent at all, you would have simply stated you were talking about the brake line and everyone would of understood. Whatever, talk some more ****, this is retarded. Ill let you win, own me, whatever. Have a good one. Cheers!
