Default FS:1998 ITR #765. $15,750. Northern NJ. 61k miles

Well, after 3 years and tons of fun, the time has finally come to let her go.
1998 ITR #765 of 1000 made in 1998 for the US. 61k miles currently. I am selling the car because I have a new car on the way in a few weeks.

Vehicle History:
I bought the car around October 1999 with a little over 17,000 miles. Most of the miles are from the drive to work everyday (now has 61,000). The car has been autoXed about a dozen times. It has been on a road course 4 times for driver education events. It is a great car, and all the maintenance is kept up with, etc. I have a log of all maintainence. I put the car on a curb 2 years ago, but there was absolutely no frame or permanent damage. The entire suspension was replaced. Repairs were done with new OEM parts at a professional shop used by the local Acura dealer. I have all receipts.

Here is the list of modifications to the car. Some of these mods were done to the car before I got it, and have remained that way:
K&N RU-2820 air filter, Kumho Ecsta 712 tires on USDM Stock wheels. These stock wheels will be included with the car. I put brand new Brembo replacement rotors on the front a few thousand miles ago (stock size). ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid, Momo club 3 steering wheel, Sparco aluminum drilled pedals, airbags removed, no AC (it was a factory option in 1998 that was not purchased), Clifford Concept 200 Alarm.
Additionally, the buyer will receive: California car cover (noah cover specifically made for the ITR), Factory shop Manual, Nose mask (bra), Original steering wheel + both airbags, extra chin spoiler (has a small crack), stock brake pads.
Carfax report is clean.

Email me at J_Ritt44@yahoo.com if you would like to come look at the car, or if you have any questions. I'm working on borrowing a digicam tomorrow for some pics. Please do not waste my time if you don't have the money...no trades, etc. Priced to move at $15,750. There will be no joyrides, etc. I will hold the car for 5 days with $1000 deposit until a certified bank check is given to me with the remainder of the full price. I am very busy at work right now, but I'll try to accomodate anyone genuinely interested in the car. Please be patient if I don't get back to you immediately. I hate to get rid of the car because I've loved it for 3 years, but I can't afford two sports cars right now. I want it to go to a good home, so someone please take my baby and take care of her. Thanks.

Yah...I really hate to see it go...the first time I rode in one, I knew I had to have it. I'm gonna give RWD and more power a try (I bought a 350Z). Maybe some day I'll be able to get one again as a weekend toy.
I priced it to move it...I hate haggling about that stuff.

I forgot to say...i'm giving my ITR peeps first crack at this, so I'm not posting this ad anywhere else just yet. So, if you have a friend that wants to join the brothahood, pass this along.

Actually David,

Matt is getting the same exact Z as me!!! I ordered first...and basically talked him out of an S2000! We both got the chrome silver enthusiast model. WE may look a little silly when we drive together, but hey, I'll deal with it!

I would have gotten the "silverstone" (gunmetal), white, or blue. So many nice colors to choose from why would he get the same color as you. Hopefully you guys aren't close friends so it won't look too silly. But then again, it looks pretty silly when I cruise with other ITR folks (the come in white only in Canada...only in 2000 was yellow offered).

Yah, a dozen autoX's and a couple of drivers eds have completely ruined a car designed to race on a road circuit.
The car was properly maintained (by an adult, unlike you), runs great, and looks nearly new. Not a dime is needed to be put into it.

Honesty is the best policy when you have a reputation to uphold. I could have brushed the details under the rug, and nobody would have ever known the difference. I could post an ad like every other liar on the planet saying that my grandmother drove the car on the highway every day, and it has never been raced or seen VTEC. If someone did that to me though, I'd be upset and angry if I found out that wasn't the case later. I'd rather give all the details, and pass the car on to a fellow enthusiast at what I think is a fair price. People who know me respect me for that reason (including a host of people on this board). I like that, and plan on keeping it that way. I'd rather have my integrity than an extra buck.

Your post is the correct way to say, "I'm jealous because I can't afford this car, therefore I must try to belittle, or to use what is surely your terminology 'hate on,' those who actually have the means to do so." If you don't like my car or the price, good...I wouldn't sell it to you anyway. Some person is going to walk away with a beautiful white ITR at a good price, and they're going to love it. Hopefully, they'll enjoy it as much as I did for 3 years. I also hope they meet up with you at a stoplight, or on a racetrack one day, and embarass you in front of your girl...oops, you probably don't have a girl...I mean, your 'crew.' Go away, and find something better to do then vent your jealousy.

Sorry you all had to witness that ugliness. Lol.

Nighthawk GS-R,
I work in Parsippany in Morris County. If you are sincerely interested in buying the car, than you can come by and take a look. I'm really busy, but my schedule is flexible. I've already gotten a couple emails, and someone wants to see the car asap. If they don't want it, or can't make it out to see it, you could have a shot at it. Please email me at J_Ritt44@yahoo.com, and we can set something up. Thanks.

Hi all,

I just wanted to personally vouch for Jeff here. He's a cool and honest guy who is selling an awsome car at an great price.

IMO, you would be completely insane to spend your @16k on a Civic or a regular Teg, if you could get a clean 98 ITR for the same $$. And Jeffs car is clean!

Whoever buys it is going to get great value and fun for their money!

Cheese~

Thanks for the support Ralph. I had someone look at the car last night, and I have a few other interested buyers as well. Lance is hosting pics for me, which should be up soon. I think someone is going to drive off in my car feeling very good about their purchase.
