Honnda service!!!!!! VERY BAD!!!!!!!!
So i went to honda dealership today for them to rest my ecu due to the fact that my SRS light was on... and i heared from others on this board they will do it for free, those mother ******* wanted to charge me $75, thats a bunch of BS... Does anyone know how to rest the ecu for the SRS light to come off? thanks!
I hate dealerships. They are **** suckers that like to charge alot for nothing. About 80 dollars an hour for their "Hard Labor". Thats some bs if you ask me, IMO it should be paid by the job not by the hour. But no, they make you pay for the mechanic to take his time, talk to his buddies, and maybe fix your problem. For example, they charged me $82 to compress 2 springs onto my 2 shocks. Does that really take an hour to do? No, maybe 15 minutes. They didnt have to take them off the car or anything, just throw it on their machine, compress it, and tighten a nut. If I was smart I would have gone to meineke or something. Oh well

ok buddy why don't you go to mieneke and *most likely* have your car hacked...and why not have napa parts slapped on while your there too. as far as getting paid by the job....that what flat rate is all about so good techs can get paid for being effecient ...techs got to eat too!! if you where smart you would be able to install your own springs and not cry about being charged $82.....go to a performance shop see how much they charge to install springs divide by two... charging a lot for nothing...right your a moron

I've been kicked out of a Honda Dealer. Honda of Fife in WA.
In for oil change and compression test. Easy right? Wrong!
Dude knocked my engine ground off. As I get on the freeway, 2 1/2 miles away while raining, my temp gauge goes nuts, RPM's at 7k, wanting to die. I pull off to the side, park it, and start walking back.
Dude says I have a cooling problem.......yeah.......2 mintues after it left the shop
. Turns out it was the ground.
I was asked never to return cause, "they don't work on Hondas with performance parts." I had I/H/E. Nothing to do with what happened. Said I had to pay for towing and for them to fix it. Ended up being free.
Cliffs Notes: Honda mechanics are monkeys, Honda dealers are rip offs, got my **** fixed free, owner got bitched out by her boss for treating me like ****.

with respect to EVIL Teken:i'm not here to fight.... the point is dealers are not rip offs, if you want diner you can go to mcdonalds or you can go to a 5 star restraunt ....is that a rip off??? for the most part honda techs (everyone here @ my job is at least is factory trained and certified) are a lot better qualifield and more afluent (at least refering to honda/acura) then your average mechanic. no one wants to work for free and there are plenty of ppl who don't mind paying dealer price (which buy the way is only a 40% markup [NET-LIST] ). and as far as parts go... honda genuine is head and shoulders above a/m junk period. i'm sorry you think i'm an "ignorant ***-clown toughguy" my apologies as far as the comeback.... your previous post deserved much worse i was trying to be nice.
only a 40% mark up he says
I dont think you should take this as a personal attack on you as a certified Honda technician, Im sure most are knowledgeable and great at working on Hondas. What people don't like is the practices of the dealership itself. The pricing is a bit ridiculous at times, and so far all my experiences trying to buy a new Honda have been just horrendous from a customer service standpoint. At least this is the case in Chicago. I have come to love my little Honda Civic, but I have also come to despise the Honda dealers. (Already been to about 4 different dealers in the area....all bastards!

40% ha, i work at a precision tune and recently we did a water pump on an integra are mark up is 2.3 x cost and we still under the honda dealer by 20 some dollars on the part.
dohcsideSi: I had a feeling you're coming back at me was a bit biased, I take it you work at a dealership? I'm not saying dealerships do not do good work but they treat people like a-holes. I know its not just me because one of my brothers co-workers goes there to get his TL-S services and he says they are jerk-off's too. I would most definatly trust a honda\acura tech to work on my car and use OEM parts 100% but I think its a bit ridiculous that I got charged $82 for such a simple task. It was my own fault for going to dealership to have that done, that could have been handled by any old joe at a suspension shop. I don't think compressing two honda springs onto a honda shock requires a honda certified tech. The tech didn't even take apart the shock to make sure I had it put together right (order of sleeve, bump stop, etc..) I had it loosely assembled with the nut loose on top just to keep each shock organized. Laziness at its best.
