I am replacing the window regulator on my 1990 Accord and I am having trouble removing the front driver side door panel. I have all the screws removed but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the piece that holds the power lock and door handle.

It seems like there is a clip somewhere but can't seem to find it. Can anyone help?

On most Hondas, there should be a purple color plastic clip. The clip should rotate clockwise to come off the rod. Use a small flat-tip screwdriver or something to push it carefully off the rod.

 

Push forward, then pull, then disconnect the lock rod.

 

Got the broken regulator out, but the new one doesn't seem to line up with the screw holes. It is identical to the old one, but it doesn't line up. Can anyone help?

 

The screw holes don't line up for whats on the door.

 

try to hook up the motor and collapse the regulator some almost flat and see if it will line up.
