A couple alarm questions....
I'm really interested in getting a paging alarm for my civic. However I have a couple of questions first.
I just bought an 00 EX, I have a couple of things I plan on doing to it (swap, etc.).
1) Can I install the alarm by myself? I have a lot of experience with stereo installations, swaps, etc. I know Civics really well, so I feel like as long as I had some kind of wiring diagram so I know where everything goes.
2) Should I wait until after I do my swap? I don't know if alarms integrate into the engine harness at all...I'm guessing they don't. The reason I don't want to wait until I have a swap is because I don't want whatever installer to know what mods my car has since I live in small town.

Installing an alarm is not that hard, if you can install an audio system you can install an alarm.
The alarm is not connected to any wiring in the engine bay.
This is the "tag in" sheet for your car... http://64.85.6.121/diagrams/printpag...14258&MakeID=3
Keep in mind there is more then one place to connect alarm wiring to your cars wiring.
Solder all connections.
Best place to make a connection is at a plug the wire is in, de-pin the terminal and solder the alarm wire to the shank of the terminal and re-pin it into the plug.
Feel free to PM me if you have other questions. 94

yea nothing to hard, some wires are a pain to get to but jus follow the instructions the alarm you get comes with and the wiring diagram for your car and you should be fine. just dont try to bunch up all the wiring, relays and module in the same spot under the dash cuz it doesnt look nice and if something goes wrong you r going to wana shoot yourself cuz it will be a pain to trace wires. also you can get any wiring diagram from http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/wires/
