Help!!!!!! on my 96 accord..please
i have a 96 accord 25th ann. i was checkin the oil in the engine and there was a crap load of yellow goop/gunk/sludge. i am worried and thinkin that my antifreeze is getting into my oil. because also my anitfreeze keeps on emptying..
1.what would this mean?
2.how can i fix it?
3.will i have to buy another radiator?
4.is the radiator or faulty hoses causing this problem?
Also my car seems a little bit on the shaky side you can even feel it on the steering wheel when you put your hand on it. is it becuase i need an oil change?..because i do need 1 my oil is dark brown..person i bought the car off of didnt take car of it and let the car sit for 6 months before i went and bought it from him!!

best bet is headgasket, do a comp test and see ur number
the radiator is fine just flush it when u change the headgasket
always change the oil as soon as you biy a new car, and check oil before u drive, check water and all that stuff
thats how you know if the guy took care of the car or not

i clean the engine oil cap and then put it back on started the car and about 30 mins later i had yellow sludge all over.. and the radiator is pretty OLD its also rusted. and it leaks over night.. i was recently told that my coolant was getting into my oil.. cause if it was the headgasket my tail pipe would have been throwing out a smoke that was either colored white or gray..but mine is clear so he said that the headgasket was fine..??i am still not sure
how much would it cost to repair the headgasket if it is that????
Well your engine could be toast already. Assuming its been doing this for awhile and it is the headgasket, you have a pretty good chance you have a warped head now. So even if you replace the headgasket it wont seal correctly. Only way to tell is to take it apart.
It won't be cheap.

unless you know the person or shop that rebuilt the engine doesn't mean they did it correctly or didn't cut corners. sometimes those backyard mechanics cause more problems that they solve
i would replace rad since it is leaking anyways and flush coolant too and do oil flush too. could be there is just crap in the engine in general and that is where you get that yellow sludge. most people never do a oil flush. it only cost usually a extra $15-20. of course you can save a few more bucks if your fluids are low and you add it yourself on the way to the shop
