compression test
i just did a compression check on my 91 accord, as i suspect that the head gasket is bad.
i got 150psi to 180psi on all cylinders.
i am not sure what these numbers mean or indicate.
anybody know?

Re: compression test
well there way off from each other. I pretty sure you can be within 10psi to be ok. Did you make sure your car was warmed up? then pull the fuel pump fuse and have the throttle wide open when you did it?

Re: compression test
If you take the rad cap off top up the coolant then start the car. Does the coolant start to bubble?
Is there coolant in your oil?
Those are two pretty easy ways to see if your head gasket is leaking. A compression test doesn't always point to a leaking head gasket. Another way to test is to pressure test your coolant system and see if any of your cylinders have coolant in them after the test.
