user error

 

100% bone stock, 140k, adult owned car. My sister bought it as it was, no start, low compression sounding cranking. Guy said it started using more and more oil and then one day it just didnt start and thats how it was left.

I'd guess cheap gas was used a lot of its life, but who really knows..

 

It's amazing what people refuse to do. It says premium fuel only. $1 extra per tank could have prevented a few hundred in rebuilding it.

Also if it's second hand then there's no telling what the guy did to it. My guess is nitrous or running another ECU that's got the wrong fueling.

I just popped the pistons out, so i'll get another pic soon... It was an old guy, so im sure it was cheap fuel. The oil was black and leaking everywhere. I always heard about a4 horror stories, now i get my hands on one! woohoo.
