new car b16a with pr3
hey, i just bought a nice crx with a jdm b16a and a pr3 ecu. i have few wires disconnected and im throwing a code. i had a few question that i have been searching all over the internet to answer. i have found many pr3 pinout diagrams but they dont always tell me every pin most just tell u how to wire up the vtec. are the injector locations and all other pins the same as a stock crx, minus the vtec wiring? i would like to find a diagam with all pin description a-c.also where can i find a wiring diagram that list wiring colors or other ways to identify the different wires? basically my main goal is i would like to double check all of the wiring and make sure it is all as it should be because the car hits vtec fine and runs good but i know there are still a few bugs that i would like to work out. i am stumped here and cant seem to find these answers any help would be greatly appreciated. also if it would be easier just to direct me to wiring instruction for a similar engine swap, the information could also be helpful. one example of a problem im having is on a few web sites i have seen that the knock sensor on the b16a and the pr3 ecu should be pluged into the b19 slot, but there is another wire currently hooked up here, i don't really have anyway of identifing the wire other than its color, is there a diagram i could look at to see what wire this is and where its correct location should be?i have noticed a few problems that seem similar to this one and im looking for iformantion that would help me fix these problems.
Was it 2 long blinks and then 3 rapid blinks and then it paused for ~2secs and then 2 long blinks and 3 rapid blinks again?
If this is the case Code 23 which is your knock sensor, it is located on the back of the block under the intake manifold on #2 cylinder, but it's a sensor show in the picture.

Here is the Pinouts for ALL 88-91 Crx/Civic including the pr3 ecu.

when the diagrams say a1 b1 c2 ect, is that the order of the pins as view when looking at the ecu pins or when viewing the connector that conects to the ecu when it is disconnected?
also what should i do with the wire currently connected in the b19 connector? that is why i was looking for color coded wire diagram because i have no other way of identifying the wire. is there some other way to identify the wire and is a diagram of the short available?

If you are looking at the ECU with the plugs in it, the top row are all odd numbers, so very top left corner is a1 right next to it is a3 etc. the bottom row is even numbers bottom left corner is a2 then a4 etc.

The wire thats in the b19 slot is the ELD (Electronic Load Detector) GRN/RED should be the wire color in b19 currently. The pr3 does not have a slot for it, so what you could do is just depin that because only the stock EF ecu has that ELD crap, and just repin it to go to the knock sensor, or get a chip that disables knock sensor. Get a plug that will plug into it like a vtec solenoid plug should work, just splice a wire into the one side that goes to the ECU and the other side will be a ground wire.

This is a Great Resource. For PR3 or PWO look all the way to the right.
