Alright guys, so i have a 03 RSX base stick. I love it and everything but i really want a type S. Some of my friends suggested to Turbo my car. I dont know whether to fix up my base or sell it and buy a type s. And if i do sell it, how much money do you think i could get for it. i have 69K Miles and it is in perfect condition besides some dinks and scratches around the car. thanks guys

Ya budget is the really question here... how much are you whilling to invest and what are you looking for as power goals?

 

Well, as of power goal, i wanna be in the 200-250 Whp range. and my budget, i have around 2k Plus however much i sell my base for to get a type s. I really dont wanna turbo my car because this is going to be my daily driver.

 

I would then go for the Type-S... but before doing any power mods I would look into getting the suspension, brakes and good tires done first! That right there will make you gain much more then you think!!!

Iwill definitely swap it to the Type-s.

It would be a resonable option for me.

If the budget would have been known it would have been easier to decide

agreed here, a good cai and rh alone do well enough on a type s, add an rbc with 65mm or even a 70mm tb and a good cat back plus even a simple hondata re flash or kpro if you feel like spending should get you close enough to your 250whp with those bolt ons ... good tires (falken rt-615s), coil-overs, motor mount inserts, and lsd (type r is good enough to handle +250whp) will get that power to the ground ... if you buy rims make sure they are lighter then the stock 27lbs (06 type s rims, im not sure about the older type s rims) so you realize some power there too, over all it would be much easier to go for a type s rather then building your base, not that its not possible but its alot easier to get the power your asking for ...

although if you boost your base, you can find the same amount of power being made, just the reliability will be much less and cost of repair if you blow your motor will be more then if you just get a type s ...
