Which ARP studs to use w/skunk2 mani/hondata gask.
I finally picked up the Skunk2 intake mani for my GSR and
the stock intake studs are too short with the thick hondata gasket and and the skunk2 cast manifold.
I considered just backing out the studs a thread and a half but theres got to be a better solution.
What ARP fasteners would fit?
Size?
Part number?
Any help would be appreciated.

when you run that part number in mcmaster carr's site they are the stock length studs. make sure you get the ones that are 10mm longer or more than what that number brings up...i made that mistake, and still spent less than getting arp's.
you can see them on this page in my build thread

Thanks for the options!!
I havent looked at the injector fitment yet but I will before I proceed -
Im leaning towards the KMS set but I will still price out the ARP and then make the call.
EDIT: ARP priced at 178.00 canadian!!
Mcmaster Carr it is then.

I had a hondata intake gasket on my built LS, and all I can say is that it was a waste of money..
I found out the hard way, my advice is after about 3,000miles torque the intake nuts down again. 2 of mine came off, and left me stranded on the highway

I have had a few experiences w intake manifold bolts myself. I added a second gutted butterfly plate to lengthen the runners on my OEM gsr manifold - giving more low end tourque.-secondaries ran off an rpm switch...got decent numbers as well...but what I was getting at was I too had to retighten my mani bolts.
Even worse was my friend had a M62 JRSC on his gsr and believe it or not a few of the bolts to hold it on are INSIDE the blower housing accessed though a setscrew opening.
Long story short a bolt backed itself out and got jambed in the blower blades!
I will be checking these bolts daily.

I can relate i put my hondata intake manifold gasket on and after about 4,000 ish miles i went to take it off and the nuts were really loose.
Fink29 - I now stock the blue(med) locktight with my sockets all the time...and my friend with the m62, when he called JR and ordered a new blower, he mentioned what happened and they sent him a tube of locktight along with the new blower.
