Default anyone using a 94 antenna with half switch button???

did anyone here swap for the power antenna with the half switch button? if so, is it an almost direct swap with the exception for additinal wiring for the new button? I have to replace my currrent antenna and was thinking of going this route just cause i think it would be cool...thanks

When pushed, it lowers the antenna half way....I just thought it'd be cool to have but I'm just gonna go with an OEM replacement till I shave off the antenna....

you cant just add a half mast switch to a US OEM antenna. you have to get the JDM antenna that has the half mast relay on it. just a fyi.

You can wire it to stop whenever you want it to stop. Just install a switch on the wire thats 12v all the time. I have done it on a 93 accord. Worked great!

yeah, but the half mast antenna if supposed automatically drop the antenna half way when you press the button. but if you just want a switch/button that you can press to stop the antenna wherever it is at, at that point in time, then yes that will work great.

It is on a modified center console - that was actually available in the USDM woodgrain SE. It sits flat under the ash tray/cig lighter.

I have it on my car right now, but I didn't hook up the switch yet. I have a CEL to deal with first. when you turn your deck on for AM/FM radio it goes all the way up, then when you push the button it goes down. It doesnt go down half-way, its more like 3/4. It pissed me off because I really had it pictured in my mind that it was going to go half-way. If you don't have the module attached to the antenna and a switch then yours wont work. I bought 2 used set, and 2 extra switches before I could get the darn thing to work. Lets just say because its a used part just about 1 of each was broken.
