Never have a problem starting the car and no problems with it until it starts to warm up. After Ive been driving for a few min the engine cuts out. Soon as I get to about 2500rpm in any gear the engine drops to about 1000rmp and stays there until I let my foot off the gas. But I still can't go past about 2500rpm when it starts to get warm. Tuning issue? Wiring issue? Fuel pump?

Its a 99 and its running hondata and not throwing any codes.

 

Before and after the problem occurs, measure the fuel pressure.

Is the air filter or cat clogged?

 

Fuel pressure is between 35-40psi and the filter is fine. No cat on it. Runs fine for the first few min before it warms up. Its not overheating, peaked at 180f

 

has gas? what exactly happens at 2500rpm? does it feel like it limits or bog or what?

 

Has gas. It feels like it bogs down. Soon as I hit close to 2500rpm the engine just stalls and stays at 1000rpm until I take my foot off the gas. Soon as I let off the throttle and give it gas again it works fine until about 2500rpm. Doesnt matter if I slowly increase the throttle or do it fast. Same effect. And it only does it when warm. Im so confused.

 

Its possible the TPS is going bad
