oversize intake valves

Default oversize intake valves

has anyone done head work involving oversize intake valves? I have a z6 that im turboing and want to get as much air in as possible. i guess what im asking is how big can i go and where can i find them (the valves that is)

I’ve never seen the point in just putting wider valves in the head without the associated head work. If you don’t port the runners and widen the opening of the valve seat so that the entire system is now 1mm wider, then all you’re doing is putting a bigger obstruction in front of the airflow path. This totally changes the air velocity characteristics and therefore the flame propagation. The good thing is adding a turbo will overcome many of the limitations of a stock head that might be a problem for a NA set up. If I was you I would spend my money on headstuds, a better cam or sometime of the like. Good luck.
