anyone ever raise a civic before?
I would like to raise my 91 civic hatch about 2 in. anyone ever do this before with just coilovers or springs. its going to be runnign through the woods, so no making fun, only serious inquires. i imagine the biggest prolem will be the articulation of the cv-joints.
i would assume that coilovers jacked up would work pretty good. just watch your axle angles. i would also assume that noone has ever done this before at least your not lifting it for dubs,
You may want to look at coil expanders or shims. I know like Advance/Auto Zone used to sell them where you put what almost looks like a C-Clamp in between your coils and it lifts it, I don't remember how much, just remembering seeing this for like tow vehicles n whatnot, but will work with any coil spring application.
this guys is on a local forum, i can get you in contact with him if you want...these were taken Saturday at an EF meet

That might be possible, with the back anyways. If you take the steelies and turn them around so the part that goes over the drum is now backwards, and you weld or mount the rim somehow to the tractor tire. That might work. The front, no clue. Unless you convert the front to drums.
is that a real picture? or was it photochopped? because, the rear tire on that thing, is in the water, but not wet. just curious. and why would you have to convert to drums? i've seen trucks with huge tires on them, not necessarily with tractor tires, but still. disc brakes would still work. wheel spacers anyone?

the car obviously wont be driven on the street this way if anyone is wondering.
that makes alot more sense then^.....anyone ever get more info on the green, off/road civic? really curious about his setup
thanks
thanks
How much of a raise do you want? If you put stock DA (90-93 Integra) springs and shocks it'll raise it an inch or two.
