Default Auto and Man trans distributors interchangable????

I need to replace my distributor on my LS. All the stores I call have to special order it but I found a junk yard that has one. It's on an automatic Integra, but everyone has asked if I have a man or auto trans when I call about a distributor. Does it really matter? Is there a difference or can I use a distributor from an auto car?

i don't think it will make a difference.the trans won't affect the distributor timing.if anything, the ecu would be the main difference when going from auto to manual.
