Default B18 obdo distributor auto/manual difference

Hey guys my manual distributor in my crx has taken a dump. Its an obdo car so I figure you integra guys would know a little better. Anyways the TDC sensor has gone bad in the cold. Anyways I have an automatic odb0 distributor that I put on the car. Its started once then died right away. Will and automatic one work on a manual car?
