Default d16z6 swap Qs

i have a 1991 crx dx with a d15b2 and im going to be doing a d16z6 swap in it next month. just trying to get everything i need together before i start the swap. when i swap out the motor should i also swap out the exhaust manifold or will the dx manifold be fine? i dont have the stock d16z6 mani so if i cant use the dx mani i will most likely get aftermarket headers.

You can use the original header, that'd be best because you know it already fits your car. I had a problem trying to put a stock header back on mine, and I think there is a difference between the DPFI and the MPFI headers, one is shorter and can't fit the other.

I would just go with a comp clutch stage 1 and lightned flywheel

thanks for the relply but that was weeks ago. i already got the motor and tranny in the car now. why do u recommend a comp stage 1 clutch? i put the flywheel in with a stock replacement clutch set and it seems to work fine.

i got a question for u crxblues. anyways which tranny did you used? cause i know the d16z6 is an obd1 engine and you're car if its a 88-91 civic/crx then its obd0.

when it comes to the trannies that dosnt matter

88-91 used cable transmisions and 92+ uses hydro trannies so the z6 one wouldnt work since its hydro

yeah when it come to d-series trannies it doent matter much just as long as its a cable tranny. unless u feel the need to convert to hydro. i used a si tranny for the d16z6. getting my triming covers today sso i have it running how it should today.
