Whats the difference between SRD recaros and JDM recaros
I feel like a dumbass asking but hey, the only way to get educated is to ask questions. So whats the difference?
Oh yeah and for you "do a search" bastards out there, I already did

jdm recaros are the same as recaro srII's that we get here in the US. The only difference is the material. The Alcantara and nylon stitch in the middle is exclusive to the jdm type-r recaro's. Recaro made the seats to match the type-r interior exactly. Another thing that I have noticed that is different is the place where racing harnesses go through the headrest. On the jdm recaros, the harness holes have a fuzzy border that match the alcantara, while the us versions have an ugly piece of plastic. Another ting is that the JDM recaros have their name sewn in very small, while over here the letters are sewn in oversized for extra bling. Another thing that is a difference is that the us versions have a partially removable bottom cushion, while the jdm recaros cushion does not move. Maybe the cushions are a little different then your average run of the mill recaros too???The jdm recaros sit a little higher and have a narrower sitting area. this is because japanese people are usually not that big, so the seats were made to holde in skinny people. My friend tried sitting in my seats and he couldn't move his legs enough to hit the pedals because he was a little wide. I think I covered most of the differences if not all of them. If this did not answer ur question let me know and I will try again.
Uhmmm. From what you posted ... there are a lot of differences.
Doesn't the JDM Recaros also have the seat adjustment **** on only one side?

is the alcantra in the middle or on the bolsters?? I thought the middle was like a tweed fabric?? What are the bolsters of the SRD's made of?? Is the material similar to the ITR seats in the car now?? Where can I find a pic or buy the SRD's??
oh by the way I really appriciate the fast and detailed response you already gave

Yes, the JDM Recaros use a tweed-like material in the center. Picture the Type R stock seat layout, and put the fabric on the JDM Recaro, and there you go. The US Recaro SRDs are made of the generic Recaro material.
