sand paper????wtf?

i wouldnt even think about doing that...you'll either put more/deeper scratches in that journal, and/or, give the journal a deeper clearance than all of the other ones

dont do it!

Yeah I did that to mine with 1500 grit paper. Then had it micro polished for free. As long as you dont take off too much metal your good.

You might want to replace your Intake & Exhaust rocker orfices's.
I actualy purchased a damaged Pr3 head that had this sort of wear on it (or in my case bad scoaring) around the journals nearest to the camgears.

I had the head repaired by rewelding the wear then alignboring the journals back to spec. After inspecting the head I wanted to see how the previous owner managed to have oil starvation on just those particular journals. I could'nt see any sign of why until I removed the orfices's and noticed just how brittle and worn their o-rings were, which helps to keep those journals lubed I'm guessing.

I replaced both orfices's then let the motor run for 20min on my initial startup. I took the cams out again to re-inspect for any signs of wear, everything look good.

I have well over 1000K on the motor now, no problems.
