Options for going 4x114.3 on EK
I posted this in the suspension forum but im pasting it here as well because i know there are some knowledgable people here and i would appreciate their input. (kiwi)
car is a 96 EK4 SiR
alright, i checked up on some threads and i found one that had some info in it, but i just want some clarification.
apparently the hub from the electric hybrid (the part number was listed in the other thread) is 4x114.3 and it fits. the bearing that goes with it is the integra wheel bearing (part number is listed too)
so is it as simple as knocking out your hub, replacing the bearing and pressing in this hub, then finding a rotor the same size as your stock one, albeit drilled with the 4x114.3 pattern? i believe it is mentioned in that thread that the non-vtec bb4 prelude rotors fit.
or of course at that point you could bolt on the prelude brakes...
let me know. thanks.

Wait...what? Are you trying to put a 4x114.3 hub on your car? Why would you do that? If you have a set of wheels, SELL 'EM and save yourself loads of trouble!
03-05 Civic Hybrids are 4x100. And the Newer Civic Hybrids, 06-Present are 5x114.3.
ALL Insights are 4x100.
Accord Hybrids are 5x114.3
Which Hybrid are you referring too?

Just out of curiosity, what is your reasoning to doing this conversion?
I'm not sure that this would be very worth it all. Only perks may be that you can find some more expensive wheels (such as regamaster evo, spoon sw 38) significantly cheaper due to a lower demand in that bolt pattern. Also, if your going for this for the Prelude brakes, I think Integra brakes will keep you quite satisfied and may save you some time and money.

if you dont want 4x100, get 5x114.3 and be cool. the old itr wheels are light and white and cool and all, but are only 6.5" wide. i think this has a lot to do with why they are cheap. you want a 7" wide wheel. and yes, 4x114.3 wheels are ever so frikin hard to find. about the only used ones you can find are the ITR ones. DONT DO IT!
