like the title says mugen twin loop or hks power exhaust? i would like to know which one is better on performance wise i really dont care on the sound as long as it does the job im good with it. any of you have a twin loop and feedback? thanks, by the way the the obx and the real deal "mugen" does it make a big difference?
ok well you are looking at 2 extremes here.... one is supper loud, the hks and the other is a little louder the stock but a much deeper sound...
If I had to choose between the 2, I would go with the Mugen Twin loop! You will get similar power with either or but the sound is nicer on the Twin loop...

both breathe pretty well.. the HKS sounds really good with a raceheader .. a member from ephatch just posted a video of it... but at the same time the twin loop just makes everything so nice and smooth.. i went for something that was close to sounding like both.. Skunk2 cb, with a 2.5 inlet/outlet no name muffler with a magnaflow tip.. a fellow EP'er told me it sounds like a twin loop on startup

I have the HKS too but anyways, for the price, I would go with with a obx twin loop with a customed 2.5 inch midpipe. The inlet on mid pipe for the mugen exhaust is small...
i just paired my HKS with a race header. it sounds so great. i was taking groceries out the trunk and as i walked away....
i noticed that it BURNED THE **** outta my a-spec rear lip. kinda looks like fronzen rain drops hangin off a twig....except black!
sounds awesome though!

oh yea....pass on the OBX. if you get the HKS, get extended rear hangers. if you get the mugen twin loop....that would be baulllin
i think money is more of the issue, if you find the mugen to be cheaper then go for it, but if you find the hks to be cheaper then go for it, i personally own the hks and i love it, i hear they even re made it with a bigger outlet for turbo applications, so i think if your planning something big or going FI then go for the hks ...
Whereas you live in LA, I would do the Mugen. Same power without the extra, attention grabbing noise. Don't get me wrong, the HKS is a nice system, but I like to stay under the radar.
