Default o2 Sensor Problem

just installed a DC Sports race header, guy i got it from gave me a good primary but said the secondary was bad, which has a defouler on it. He told me that if i reset the ecu that it wouldnt reconize that bad sensor til about 150 miles which i wont even come close to racing. Is that true or false? i reset the ecu from the fuse box and cleared all the codes from my obdII scanner but keeps throwing a code (o2 sensor circuit no activity detected bank 2 sensor 3) Now would that be the secondary? I unplugged the primary to see if any changes in the scan it and it threw a different o2 sensor code so i plugged it back in, cleared everything and that same code keeps coming up. Will running the secondary like that make much of a different in performance for what im using the car for, dirt oval track??
Thanx

Yes its true... trust me!!! lol... now for you application and what you plan on doing it probably won't affect that much but you will for sure was like maybe 3-4% more fuel!

If you want you can get one of those spacers they put between the o2 sensor and the cat and it basically just eliminates the problem of the CEL coming on!

I had the same problem and was about to do that until I got a sick deal on a hole Type-S header/cat/midpipe... I'll post later where you can get the plug in...

are you talking about the defouler? if so thats whats on the secondary right now. I have the dc race header so i have no cat. Secondary is bad tho, wanted to know if it hurts that much running it like that or not.

were you getting a "slow o2 response"? i have a blox defouler and my cel still comes on in sometime in between 5-10 miles driving on the street after clearing my cel.. on highway it will go past 100.

if i run the scanner with just the key forward, it flashes then goes out, but when i start it, it will usually throw about 10 seconda later. How picky is it to have the secondary for what im doing?

this "could" work...or go with another different dofouler or have k-pro and disable the secondary 02 sensor...

Ok finally got a secondary o2 sensor but think the primary sensors ive been trying the whole time are bad since my scanner has been throwing a code p0166 which someone told me is the a/f ratio primary sensory. So now im in a rush to get a primary from a k20a3 if anyone has one let me know. Thanx

yea i seen for that price new but for what im using the car for im not tryin to spend alot of money, just picked up a seconday from a k20a for 40 bux shipped. I got a primary from the guy i got the header from who wanted 100 bux but i think its bad since its throwing a code as well, so if i can find another for under or around that price, it be great.
