Default What is the best motor oil and filter to use for boosted gsr
I have a built turbo gsr and would like some opinions on what motor oil to use.

I am using regular non detergent oil for break in period.

K&N are made by the same EXACT company as mobil1.

royal purple, recently broke my oil pump gear, drove almost 3 miles beat on it twice in the 3 miles, turbos good, and bearings look perfect when i removed to inspect, i didnt even replace them...

I use Mobil 1 synthetic and an OEM filter. I have good luck with that combo for 7 years.

Preferences vary. I'm more of a Castrol 10w-30 Hamp oil filter guy.

valvoline synpower 10w-30 and carquest oil filter. carquest filters are made by wix. i've cut up both and they are identical.
