94 teg, transmission doesn't seem to shift
just purchased a 94 integra, auto trans... got it fairly cheap...
however, when you shift the car into any gear, R, N, D, L, etc.... the car doesn't react at all. it acts as if the car wasn't even shifted...
i have gotten under the car and verified that the shift cable is connected and is moving on the tranny side.
IF you have any ideas, Please let me know.... I wanted to see if anyone had encountered the problem and knew the answer before i started troubleshooting any further.
Also... just a little info on the car, it was a repo, i bought it from a buddy of mine that has a car lot... once he had the car at his shop, he drove it around the building, went to get a dealer plate, and the car wouldn't move... just sit there....

no snapped axles... all the drivetrain is there.... it seems like the transmission isn't shifting into any gears at all..... i've inspected it above and below, nothing visibly broke...
i believe it is a electrical problem, or maybe a sensor/solenoid????

Based on the symptoms start there, bad automatic trannys often work fine, or at least work when cold and then start slipping when the fluid warms up. A lot of guys that know their stuff is gonna get repoed destroy it before the repo guy shows up. I know a guy who got screwed on an F-150 that way, it was repoed and the guy that owned it drained the oil and coolant till it seized.

update...
check and tested solenoids on trans... everything checked good...
checked gear selector switch in console, it tested good....
checked fluid level, appeared okay...
drained fluid after testing everything else... fluid is bright pink.... and according to the manual, a drain and flush should only be 2.9 courts... i have about 5 courts of bright pink stuff....
i am not sure if this is from the radiator where the trans cooler line goes in, or if somebody has put something in there...
SO... i will prob refil trans with new atf....
if you have any ideas, or suggestions... please let me know

it shoul be 5 or more quarts of oil if the tranny is auto and 1.5 if it is manual.
after u refil the tranny with oil, star the car and shift from P to R,D,2,1,L and so on, the tranny shoul shirt perfertly and smood.

I drained mine and ended up with appx 5 quarts.... does that mean it had 2 extra quarts of something?
Also, i have checked into the idea of the radiator letting water into the trans cooler.... not totally certain this has happened.... the fluid is almost floresecent pink while draining... any ideas?
