obd2 idle adjusting. searched!
Hi HT
Just finnished putting some type S pistons and a one layer head gasket on my h22a4 civic.
Having some issues with it idling.
Im using a obd2 p13 ecu.
I jump the service connector and adjust with the screw and whatever i set it to it still idles way too low. somtimes it will stay at 900 but then it will fall to 300 and stall shortly after.
The idle is not jumping, I cant find any vac leaks so im ruling them out.
Any tips on how i can get the idle to stay at 900-1000?
Anyone have a basemap bin for an h22a4 that I could use?
Ive tried many bins for the h22a but they dont run it very well, not as well as the p13 ecu.
Also what would be a good Fuel pressure to use with the high compression A4?
Any help would be great.

have you tried replacing the iacv? you should also disconnect the iacv before adjusting the idle screw on the tb to accurately set your base idle.
I have not tried replacing it.
I had a little progress last night.
I tried a different p13 and for some reason it idles high at 800rpm.
Why one p13 would idle and the other would not is past me. they are the same computer, both obd2 p13's.
Currently my only issue is the cold idle. The FITV is closed all the way, yet I still have a high idle surge/jump when cold.
Other then that and the vss popping out under load, a timing belt thats a little too tight, she runs great. compression is amazing.
