How many people actually have cracked controls?

 

there is on my wifes crx, but mine is perfect

 

From the posts I have read, it actually seems pretty common.

 

Mine has been jb welded back together so many times the controls are pretty much gray now instead of black.

 

took mine off and put it back in today. thought it was gonna break:s luckily it didnt

 

I've never been in a CRX without a cracked climate control...

 

Was already cracked when I bought mine. So I deleted it and thinking about running gauges there or just blocking it off.

 

I have seen a few perfect ones in the last year. getting them out in one piece is another story. even if you know the process, the odds are against you.

 

My climate control isn't cracked...it just can't vent select.

 

everything in mine works fine. except for the driver side vent, its not hooked up for some reason, and blows cold air in the winter. if there is snow on my defroster cover, i'll get some of that too. lol

 

There should be a little cord behind the vent that hooks up to it. Its a major pia to do most likely you will have to pull your dash to fix it odds are it broke on the other side not the vent side. There is a selector box there for heater or outside air. I've done it on 3 of them so far easy fix if you need help just pm me. Sorry to jack thread. Every crx I've seen or rode in has not been cracked, 1 out of the 5 hatch's I've had was broken but I removed all that when I did my gsr swap.

Are the hatch and rex's the same?

 

I have broken controls as well. I just bought a clean one though to go in and my rex has a/c. The controls don't have the a/c button so now I'm trying to trade someone that has the a/c button or sell it altogther and buy some with the a/c button haha.

my friends on the other hand have clean uncracked controls. the only I ever seen to.

If so would you have to take the motorized heater core?

well that would be nice, but im looking for a "looks like it came with the car look"
not mismatched colors or newer looking parts

what im saying is take the (motorized CC from a CRX and the Climate Controls)
and upgrade you HB with push button controls for you air flow instead of damn sliders?

and it looks stock in the car
