I replaced the valve cover gasket 6 months ago with Genuine and I have a leak from the passenger side of the engine. Looks like it could be comming from the gasket but but the wetness increases as you go down about 2 inches, maybe it is pooling there. Anyway, getting the burning smell when I get out of the car and can see wafts of smoke comming from under the hood at stoplights, thats what got me looking. If it is the valve cover gasket, any recomendation on genuine or aftermarket, don't want to spend another $70.
are you sure your gasket has failed?
did you put the gasket maker in the corners?
and i don't know where you get $71, but the entire cylinder head cover gasket kit from this site is only $35 plus shipping. thats 8 new washers, 4 tube seals and the gasket.

but, i say go OEM honda genuine parts, mine doesn't leak

I would also check your PCV system before going after a new gasket. A clogged PCV would cause pressure to build under the valve cover, causing leaks.
