i got a question....
im pulling out my d16y7 and putting a b16a2 in and i was wondering if my stock ac compressor will work or will i need a b series ac compressor?
is there any brackets that i need?

I'm pretty sure you need the a/c compressor bracket off of the b16a del sol. That way your d16 compressor will bolt on and you won't have to buy another a/c compressor.

 

PN's x-ref to (US spec) B16's (checked '98 Y7 to '96 A3 & 2000 A2), so it should work. Clutch #'s run the same as well.
Check around, stock US B-series a/c brackets (new oem Honda) run around $125, the TR aluminum bracket can be had for $120.

 

good question i'm doing the same thing (swapping out the y7 for a b16) and was curious as well.
