it is easier to just swap the panel...

But if ur taking the panel from a door mounted seat belt to a non or the other way around. Ull either have a hole where u don't need one or u won't have one when u need one. Answer about that?

it just rips off. its not made to be swapped. i suppose you could glue it back on, but the edges are not going to be nice.

youd more to worry about than the seat belt slot. the door panels shouldnt be swapped across years unless you really dont care about how it fits.

How it fits? They all are the same size tyson lol. That doesn't make any sense.

I'm putting a 88 crx panel on my 90 crx si after doing a door to pillar belt swap.

since you didn't want to replace the whole door panel itself, i assume you know that it doesn't fit already.
soo...
you have a 88 SI door panel with the "crx" logo and you want to remove that "fabric" portion w/the crx lettering and place it onto your 90 crx door panel that didn't come with the "fabric" portion. right?

well your going to have a problem.
88 crx si door panel have NO door mounted seat belt. therefor the "fabric" portion is longer.
if you compare a 88 door panel to a 90/91 door panel, you will notice that the "fabric" portion you want to remove are in fact different sizes.

also i have tried to remove the 90-91 seat belt mounted door version, and they do not come off. you will have to actually cut it off the door panel. not sure about the 88 models.

(not my pictures, im sorry if these are your pics, please PM me if you want to take them down. )
