My harmonic balancer came off when I was driving! WTF?
go to the funnest place on earth, the junkyard, its a 17 to get the bolt off, and bring a flat head to put it in one of the hole so you can get it off, if you dont it will just spin the crank and youll never get it off.
you're gonna need a breaker bar, extensions, a strong 17mm socket, a jackstand (to hold the breaker bar up while you crank down on it with the full force of your body), and a pipe (to assist with leverage).
all the yards i go to the cars are off the ground already, youll strip the bolt and hurt your self if your self with an extension. too much force on it its better to be closer to the bolt so you get all the force on it. and if you dont care to get dirty, lay down on the ground, after putting the breaker bar on the bolt, the put your foot up to the bar and push it to the back of the car, and there you go it should work or you going to brake your flat head
