so just get oem shocks and get the adjustable springs? i checked oem shocks for honda and they're like 220 each for rears and 127 each for fronts. i might as well buy the full kit. any suggestions on what a good kit would be? i heard function and forms were good and i was also considering buddy club n+ but again, hella spendy.

don't buy OEM shocks, If yours works theres no point. If you're looking to slam it, buy some koni yellows or tokico whites and GC coils or skunk coils sleeves. If you're going to go to the track, then look at full coilovers. Your ride quality should be thought about too. Bitches like a smoothe ride...haha in the car neway. IMO, if its just style your looking for, get some tein s. techs or reg springs for a mild drop and not much $.

to answer your question about rsx fitment

to my knowledge, they fit provided that you get reverse tie rod ends. this applies for coilovers too. someone correct me if i'm wrong

are you going to really use the full potential of the coilovers? like drag, circut, etc? if not then I would just go with a strut/spring combo instead of a full coilover set...

the out side tie rod ends on the dc5 are larger, just pick up some dc5 tie rod ends and the nuts for them....they go fo about 40 bucks each from acura....cheaper at autozone.

my question is, arent the struts more prone to blowing up on spring/sleeve coilover set ups vs. full coilover setups? like daily driving that is. (potholes, bumps, etc)

Any strut that you run with one inch of upward travel is going to blow quick. Slamming = blown shocks.

No offence to the OP but threads like this drive me nuts. People want to spend under a grand to make their car look like the lowered cars they see on the race tracks.....What they do not understand is those race teams spent like 20 grand moving all the suspension mounting points to lower those cars down to the lowest allowable ride hight of 3.5 inchs for the race series. Lowering our cars with out moving all the suspension mounting points results in a car that will handles like a minivan with blown shocks. sorry.

its cool dude. i'm new to this and i just don't like the fact that my car sits so high. i wasn't really looking to go on the track or anything like that. its just my shocks seem to be blown already. and i was just looking to see what kind of feedback i can get about getting new shocks and springs that would help lower my car and keep its ride quality. no offense taken, just seeing what everyone had to say about getting a new set of shocks and whatnot. thanks for the response though bro.
