my 02 DC5 is over heating any ideas

my DC5 keeps over heating, guys have any ideas what could be wrong with it. I check the water pump and it's still good. cause i can see the radiator water going in. any idea would be great.

thermostat stuck closed. I would replace this. it is cheap.

is the thermostat located on the end of the bottom hose?

i notice the oil cap on the oil pan was really loose and i barley have any oil in the engine could that be a cause. hmmm.

lack of oil would cause other problems....

Over Heating
-Low coolant
-Fans not working
-Stuck/bad thermostat
-Air Pocket
-clog in system

Just to name some places to start
