Ok, so I followed one of the ways to do the aux. light trick, and it definitely did not go very well for me because I blew my relay. Well, I rewired the car back to normal, got a new relay, and it still didnt work. So then I did another aux. light trick and got another new relay, and again the lights do not work. My aux relay keeps on clicking everytime I go to switch the aux. lights on.

Right now i have the red/white aux wire from the switch wired to both sides of the black/yellow wire from the rear defroster switch. And the other side of the red/white aux wire is taped off so that it wont come in contact with anything else. I checked the under-dash fuse, and that is totally fine too. Does anyone know what else I can try to do to get these things working without re-wiring the whole entire thing?

i used the instructions on solsociety and they didn't work for me, or i read them wrong.

here's what i have:
at the harness behind the aux light switch, cut the red/white wire.
strip some insulation off the red/black wire.

Now, what you are going to do is attach the red/white wire (the now cut wire hanging off the harness plug to that stripped insulation on the red/black wire.

The other cut end of the red/white wire will be left alone. tape it off or put a crimp cap on the end.


in this diagram i have only labeled the wires you will be using. their location on this diagram is not exact, just go by the labeled color.
