Crome & DSM Injectors
Cliff notes:
*I have a supercharged b20/vtec w/ DSM injectors
*I need a Base map to get ^above^ running
*Tuner made basemap to my specs but forgot to inclue the injectors on spec sheet
*So now I think he may have forgot to set the injector size in Crome, since he didn't include it on the spec sheet.
*Months have passed since the basemap was made
*Trying to get the engine running months later
*Having start issues, and was wondering if it might have anything to do with injectors or maybe my choice of fuel (VP 110 leaded)
*I have NOT completly performed other tests and checks of other componets.
*???
Hello, I had a local tuner burn me a basemap for my supercharged high compression b20/vtec which is running DSM injectors. I made it very clear on my specs including my 450 injectors, but when I received my base map (mailed to me) the spec sheet he printed out for me did not say anything about the injectors I specified. I figured, it was no big deal, and that he just forgot to add it to the sheet. Well the car was not even close to running at the time I had the base map made, and months later after I got around to working on it, I'm having issues getting it to run. I have spark ( still have to check for spark at all 4 cyl.) All injectors are receiving 12v (KOEO) I have new injector clips spliced in, but I need to check to make sure they are in the right order and did not get mixed up somehow. The car is also running VP 110 fuel, and I have no experince running race fuel. Well the car started briefly and was running really rough, with my exhaust hitting my worn out shift linkage, then I discovered I had an oil leak off my filter relocation kit. I have not gone any further with my diagnosis as I have been busy.
My question is: does the basemap need injector CC data entered to get the car running with larger injectors? Am I flooding the engine, making it difficult to keep it running? Is there a firing order for the injectors? (want to make sure I didn't switch around my clips) Does race fuel make it harder to start the car? I won't be driving this car around before tuning. I just want to make sure the engine is running before I tune.
Any insight on what I should check?

Try talking with the tuner that made the chip and explain you forgot some details, they may work with you and make the change for you to get the car running.
If all else fails, you may have to get the car to your tuner/shop to have everything setup properly to go ahead with the tune.
