Default what turbo to buy for 450hp.

if anyone can help me it would be great i just finshed braking in my new motor and im looking to pick up a turbo this coming week and im lost.

my motor set up.

81.5mm gsr bottom end
eagle rods
wisco pistons
block guard
all arp bolts

head is also gsr that has been ported and polished by endyn
endyn flat top valves
itr cams
str cam gears
hondata intake manifold gasket
jg intake manifold
bdl 68mm throttle body
p2r throttle body gasket
golden eagle fuel rail

my turbo setup i have so far
peakboost ramhorn manifold
peakboost down pipe and dump pipe
38mm tial wastgate
2.5 inch piping
600hp intercooler
walbro 255 fuel pump

for tunning i have hondata s200

so im just needing some injectors which i was going to order today precision 880's

i've heard many good things about the sc61. that would probably be a good choice.

thats what i was thinking but i heard a few things about the sc60 . some have told me that i would be around 5000 rpms at full boost with the sc61 so i was think with the sc60 it maybe alittle lower.

It'd look to a BW258 or 60-1 Silver surfer. That would be fantastic based upon that build for 450whp and reach maximum pressure faster than an SC61 by quite a bit.

A GT30R will get you there but it will be leaning toward the end of its limits.
The SC61 will get you there with ease.
And the GT35R will diff... get you there w/ a lil fast spool then the SC61

I hit 462@16psi on my B18C w/ SC61E

I made 430wph at 14.5lbs. Its a great turbo for that power. You don't want a turbo that maxes out at what your peak power. The SC61 has the ability to allow more power if your set up changes.

Its not just that a turbo gets the power, but HOW you WANT that power delivered with the budget..

if i were you, id go with the s256 or s259 (I don't believe they make a s258 anymore).

The s256 will be great, and the s259 can support 600hp, and the s256 still 550hp. go with the 0.70a/r vband exhaust housing.

I run the s258 0.70a/r on my dsm and its an awesome pump gas turbo.

The SC61 would get you there no problem... might also want to look into the Silver Surfers Shodan is talking about.

I made 333whp at 12psi with 91 octane, 8.3 compression and a b16b head, not too shabby imo I also have a 3" turbo back exhaust. My car weighs 2250lbs so it moves as is so i just left it at that power level :D I never really look at the tach and its been a while since i data logged the car so I'm not sure where full boost comes in at but its just right for me, i can drive around on the motor no problem and step on it when i want boost, i personally like and want a little bit of turbo lag.

Did 346 and 250 ft/lbs with a silver surfer at 11.6psi of pressure, and saved over $300 plus the cost and wqork of the water lines. This was on a 9.8:1 GS-R, thanks to Mitsuman:

you say that like water lines are expensive or hard to do... water lines can be done for under 30, or even nice stainless for about 120 (b&r fittings kit)

i still say 60 trim would get you close and be cheapest, or if you have the extra cash go with 3076r
