Default Turbo gurus! help!

im trying to figure out what kind of turbo i can get i have this manifold its one of those small ebay manifolds that look like this

(not mine but it looks like this)

i got a turbo that was a 4 bolt pattern just like this but the manifold flang was smaller then the turbo flang that i have. im just trying figure out what kind of turbos will fit onto this before i buy it.

my budget is within ebay turbos

if anyone can tell me what kind of manifold i have that would be appreciated

would just one of those t3/ t4 standard 5 bolt turbos work?

how are we supposed to tell you if you have the right manifold if we don't know what kind of motor you have? Not only that, we couldn't tell you if it is right simply by looking at a picture of it. I can tell you that the B16 and the type r manifolds are exactly the same, but other than that, there is no way of telling...

We need more information...

for one its a turbo manifold for B series.... meaning every honda motor that has a B in front of it can wear it..

2nd its a ****ing manifold that looks exactly like that. will it help if i get measurments or something? thats about the only thing i can do

#1: not all "B series" are created equal. there is an issue with deck height... you idiot

#2: That manifold might bolt up to a "B series" head, but looking at the way the flange is positioned, it looks like you're going to have clearance issues with the radiator/radiator support because the turbo will be sticking out in front of the motor. That manifold just looks really sketchy to me. I would trash it or put it back up on ebay.

#3: the words "budget" and "turbocharging" cannot coexist in peace. If you try to buy cheap parts on your turbo setup, it will likely cost you more money when it fails and your motor blows. Spending more money on quality parts will save you time and money in the long run.

#4: I have never seen that manifold before.

#5: With all that said, we still need to know which motor you're running, and what turbo you currently have (if you even know).

#6: I can't believe I'm responding to such an insolent thread. I'm too nice I guess...

shawn, sorry to say you are wrong,
that is a cast log manifold most likey for a t3 flange.

wow...... what gives.... you are the one lookin like an idiot here..

every single b series (with the exeption of the old b20 from the preludes) exhuast manifold is interchangeable with eachother.

deck height concerns this guy because of ..........??????????????

to the op, to me, the manifold looks to be a T3 style manifold. most likely mounting the compressor housing to the right side of the vehicle. you may need to do some block notching. might not be able to keep AC, and might have to get crafty with your intake/ fan setup.

downpipe clearance issues.

You know, I was honestly trying to help him out, but I don't think he wants it.

he didnt ask about a downpipe. and would most likely have to build his own..... downpipes are not universal.....

deckheight concerns him because...................... ??????????????????

I know he didn't ask about a downpipe, like I said, I was trying to help him because there may be a downpipe that would work for him depending on the manifold/turbo/motor combo used.

Downpipes are not universal; however, there are downpipes that will work with more than one setup. Not every downpipe has to be custom made...

Does the manifold look more like this?

Does it have a WG flange on top?
If it doesn't, then you need to keep that in mind when selecting your turbo.
You will need to either go for an internal WG -or- have some cutting and welding done to set up for an external WG.

I guess that the turbo flange could be a T3, but it might be a T25 (T25 looks like a small T3 pattern). T4 isn't a much of a rectangular as the T3/T25 so by your bad pic I'm thinking it's not a T4. You can take some measurements and compare them to figure it out. Or take a trip to the auto-parts store and see if they will let you test fit gaskets on your manifold.
