Autotek now make speaker components?
Alright guys,
Was looking into getting a set of component speakers and was recomended to get a set of Autotek MM 6.5Ci. Iv never heard of this company but iv been told they are well known for making great amps.
Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these new components? The other choice would be a set of MB Quart FSA 216.

Autotek sold great amps at one time, I am sure they still market some decent quality models now.
The company built a fairly strong following with their Bass Thrust amplifiers. That sereis also included several "Cheater" amps rated for like 44 watts, that could run a solid system by their selves. These amps were primarily constructed by Zed Audio( an amplifier build house....maybe even the original owners of some of these brands...Hifonics, Autotek, The Crunch, Rodek, and built some early Nakamichi amps as well ).
Now the company is owned by Maxxsonics( bought such brands as Hifonics, MB Quart, Crunch ). This company is considered of lesser quality than the older made in the U.S.A. Zed models. Most models are Chinese or Korean built now and pretty much use the same boards( with possible mild tweaks ) in all of the above mentioned lines.
The Autotek speakers are probably very similar to one of the Hifonics or Crunch lines if one was to do some digging.
Not saying any of these are bad products( I own a Maxxsonics built Hifonics and have been happy with it ), meant more as a background on the company you were asking about.

Thanks for the reply
sorry not heard of Hifonics or Crunch lines. We have access to MBQuarts product line though... we have a limited choice here in the UK
The only information iv been able to gather is that these speakers where manufactored in 2006. Cant find a single review out their for them which gets me puzzled lol
