Forget the stealership. I would put the alarm back in, and take it back to the guy who installed it in the first place. It sounds like he wired the kill switch wrong. Hopefully he didn't fry any electronics.
Make him fix it.
How long have you had this problem?
When did you have the alarm installed?

I call it a stealership because they overcharge for their service, and it is usually sub par work anyway (in my personal experience). This is why I prefer to do all my own work. I have taken my car in to "ASE certified mechanics" several times in the past with bad results.
Here is a perfect example:
I took my car in to have the inner tie rods replaced. I picked it up, went home, and assumed it had been done properly. After all, it was done by a honda technician. I had to replace the struts a few days later, and when I jacked up the car, I gave the wheel a good shake to see if everything was secure. The wheel wobbled a little. I figured maybe my bearing had gone out too, so I pulled the wheel off and took a closer look. The bearing was good. Upon further investigation, I found that the tie rod had not only been not completely screwed in all the way, but was also missing the lock washer that is supposed to go between the tie rod and the steering rack. You know how catastrophic that could have been.
The point is that while I'm sure there are many good technicians out there, I am not going to leave something as important as my car in the hands of someone who is just going to treat my car like it is some kind of routine thing. When people get comfortable and relaxed, that's when they start making simple mistakes.
I want to know which dealership you work at that does labor for free. LOL
It's also a stealership because of how much they charge for parts. Rediculous! I think they were asking like $6 per quart of MTF.

yup, wanna hear another "automotive technician" story?
This is a problem I am having now because the shop I paid to do the compression test decided that he didn't need to tell me about all the carbon deposits on my spark plugs...

Check the alternator fuse under the dash. Long story on how and why, but check to see if its blown. Just a hunch.
