Default Quick Release Steering Wheel

Well im looking into getting one of these for my car and was wondering if anyone who has one of these have had thier car stolen still? or is this a VERY good security layer to have?
the only way to really get pass this is if the thief carries the SAME type of steering wheel you have right? And if that pretty common?

thanks for the help guys!

Vice grips mounted to the steering hub generally defeat a detachable steering wheel.
If staking out a car, a thief would know far in advance to bring about 5 bucks worth of Chinese "locking pliers".

If they can't start the car, they won't worry about steering the car...

It's a good layer, but no substitute for security.
