Icon2 Check Engine

Just got ahold of my EF today. I drove it yesterday before I made the money transfer and it ran fine. Today, as I was heading home from the pick-up, the check engine light came on. I knew that i had to replace the fuel pump relay, thought that woulda been the cause. I changed it, it didnt come on when i turned the car over, but as I was driving, it came on again. time after time, it would turn on during the time i was driving. the car hasnt been used in a while, and is in need of an oil change, but i wouldn't think that would set off the light? when it first came on heading home from the pick-up, we had to put stored gasoline in it to get it to a gas station, thought maybe because it was old fuel and just had to burn through it to get to the premium. does anyone have any suggestions? it continues to drive fine I just wanna idea of what the diagnostic is.

did you count the flashes from the LED on the ecu? thats the only way you are going to figure it out.

on the passenger side pull the carpet forward and you will see a metal cover with a hole in the middle which the ecu is behind, if there is a CEL while the car is running it will flash a certain number of times indicating what the problem is.

why do you think it is the MAP sensor? - if it blinks once, the problem is with the Oxygen Sensor - just replace it - not very expensive
