Default King Motorsports S300 Bundle.... a good deal?

I have a 2000 ITR with a Hytech header and exhaust, Mugen intake, and an AEM wideband O2 sensor and I was thinking that some engine tuning might be in order. I am considering purchasing the Hondata S300 bundle from King Motorsports. I think the price is a little high, but it looks like it comes pre-socketed for OBDII-B for immediate plug and play and it would minimize downtime for my car. I wanted to ask if anyone was running this setup or knows if anyone currently is? Any input would be appreciated.

I bought that exact bundle and I have almost the same setup as you. The price is actually pretty good for what you get. I guess you can save a little bit if you were to buy a p28 and obd2-b to obd1 conversion harness instead of the Hondata ECU but I would much rather have everything installed in the ECU.

Also if you were to buy everything separate in the package it would definitely cost more.

Hondata s300 - $595
Hondata OBD2-B ECU - $450
Total = $1045

So you are actually saving $150.

When did they drop the price? Hondata still has the obd1 p28 ecu as $295 and the OBD1 P28 with built in OBD2 adapter as $450. When I was looking a couple months ago they were all around $400 to $450 and King still has it listed as that.

Even with the price drop, Kings, price is still fair. Also the ecu comes modified with the s300 already in it so you don't have the cut the hole for the cable yourself.

$295 now from Hondata.

You can also get a good price from Phearable.net. They are also an H-T sponsor.

You can't order directly from hondata. You must order through a dealer.
There are plenty of Hondata dealers on Honda-Tech that are forum sponsors including King, Phearable.net (US), Xeno, Importparts etc.
