just a b20b? or b20vtec? i had a b20vtec swap in my integra. gsr head, tranny, ecu. it was quick for a pieced together motor. lol. only downside to it imo was that the motor ran alittle loud.
There are 2 kinds of b20's. Low comp ones and high comp ones. JDM b20's are all stamped with b20b, my memory is alittle iffy right now but the one with the knock sensor is the high comp one. In the US, b20b is low comp and b20z is a high comp.
Now, the b20 will swap over no problem, i have a b20z in my auto LS because my DD had too many miles and i thought it be better to switch than keep it. A b20 is pretty much a b18b bored to 2.o liters. I havnt brought it to the dyno yet but from my reading, a b20z auto will keep up with a manual b18b.
When you go to the sites and see the HP stats, those are the stats from the cr-v, so example, b20z is rated at ~140hp/~133ftlbs with the stock crv IM, header, and exhaust. It'll be higher once you add the b18b IM, an either stock or aftermarket header exhaust.
b20b low comp is only ~120hp/~133ftlbs, good for a turbo setup.
I like the b20z in my car. i just recently bought a p8r head, which is a rare b20 head. i'm planning on building the head adding new valves and springs, with crower cams etc.
i hope that is some info for you, i dont know much but other people will chime in.
Also, you can use your LS tranny, you dont have to buy the one with the swap from that site, also make sure to ask them which compression b20 you want, i know too many people forget to do this and end up with something lower than their ls motor.
