Icon6 slugish mini me

just put my z6 vtec head on my b7 and it feels no faster at all than the b7. is there somethings i can adjust for it to run better?. no cels and i cant hear the vtec, i know its a weak crossover but i figured i would hear something. oil plug was removed and it was all wired. it feels like it boggs when i get on it and the idle is all messed up. but the whole throttle body with the FITV and IACV came off the b7 which idled fine. is there something else that would affect it that i should take off the b7?

Almost the same problem I had when my timing belt snapped on my stock z6 and bent a bunch of valves on the head. I swapped out the head for a another used z6 and it felt sluggish since then. Did a compression test and both #1 and #4 cylinders were low. Wasn't burning oil, no white smoke (antifreeze leaking into cylinders) and timing was perfect. Then it got stolen and blown to pieces before I could really diagnose it... LOL sucks!

Anyway, was VTEC wired up properly? Timing done correctly? You should also do a compression test and give it a good tune-up just in case.
