Alright, I've got a bit of experience with paint and body work, nothing too crazy though. Few years back I fixed up a 4th gen Prelude getting rid of all the rust and what not.
Now I want to paint and repair the rust on my 93 GS-R. From what I can see the rust isn't anything too crazy. I'll let pictures do the talking though.

I've had the rear interior panels off and it looks good still, just seems to be surface rust that is just starting to bubble out. I'm hoping I can knock it down with a grinder and give it a quick skim coat of filler then even it out/blend it in.
I'd then like to paint the whole car with Hot Rods Flatz Gun Smoke Metallic. I'd be spraying with a gun, nothing too fancy.
As for prepping the car, what will I need to do? Any primer? I do plan to sand it down and make everything smooth.
This will be a garage paint booth job but I want it to come out decent.
