the names listed above is who you have to watch out for because 98 ek4 siR seems to have multiple personalities using egtyperbeeatch. and they seem to share the same computer as well. and it's weird when I've read some of the threads made by the other names they were being called Mark as well.

Okay so here's the story:
Back in Aug 28, 2008 i purchased a ITR tranny from Mark aka 98 eK4 siR
98+ ITR trans
downside: 3rd pop out @ low rpm, and 5th gear grindage @ high rpm
still has LSD

price was $670 shipped but then he said that he split the tranny apart and saw the broken bearing. he said he would replace it for me, all i would have to do is pay for the part. so i agreed to it. total came out to $700 shipped. item was paid for on aug 28, 2008.

so he has trouble finding a box to ship the item in so i suggested a plastic Tupperware. so he went out and bought one and said he packed it and took it to USPS and they said they couldn't ship an item like that. so then he finds a box and puts it in there.

he shipped the item with UPS. tracking number: 1zwv98964248005510

day i got the package, when i opened the package there was the box...a few crumpled newspapers and the plastic tub wrapped in duct tape with more little bits of newspaper here and there. oh yea. the plastic tub was cracked everywhere cause it was too small for the tranny. after i saw that i took the tranny out for inspection. looked and looked and it all looked pretty good until i found this:


this is the part where one of the shifter rods connects to the tranny. so i quickly took pictures and contacted Mark. he says that he put insurance on the tranny and that i should go and contact ups and file a claim. so i did. i contacted ups and they said that they will have one of their workers come the next day to pick it up and that i will have to contact the shipper for further information about the claim because they cannot release any information to me after they have taken the tranny for the claim. so okay i agree with it and sure enough UPS came by and picked up the tranny and left me a damage call tag.

so i told Mark about what was going on and asked for his number.
with my past experiences with big companies i thought that they would lag the crap out of the claim so i gave it a few months. months passed and 2009 hit. nothing. so i decide to call Mark..goes straight to voice mail..weird...so i try calling him different times of the day and different days but it all still goes to voice mail..after that i decide to contact UPS. UPS said that they shipped the tranny back to the shipper and to contact him. Postal Annex was the shipping company(store) that Mark used to ship the tranny. so i contacted Postal Annex and asked about the tranny. i get a rude person on the phone. i believe his name was Stanley King. i asked about the tranny and he told me that the owner came and picked it up. WTH? so i asked more questions but he was being a total ***** on the phone and hung up on me.

so i tried contacting Mark on here and nothing. no responses. NOTHING..so i kind of put that in the back of my mind

so i start using a new forum "N W P4life.com" and was searching through the For Sale section and came across the user "paper cha$e" looked through his thread and noticed his signature about some 92 enkeis. went back on h-t and looked at 98 eK4 siR's sig and it was the same thing! I FOUND HIM! so i contact mark and he says that his friend was the one that sold me the tranny and was shipped with Fedex or whatnot. later he says that the item was shipped and delivered. then turns into another person...saying that he and a friend shared the user name to sell parts. and the person who responded with "my friend sold you the tranny" chimed in his thread and said he was there when Mark shipped it..weird how he can't remember what company Mark shipped the item with but was with him at the time..

i called Mark out. saying that Postal Annex said that he came by and picked up the tranny. he said that i need proof that he picked up the tranny, i should have a signature to prove that he came by for the package. i cant get any of that because UPS won't release any information to me(the receiver) then he goes on about how its my fault that i gave the tranny to UPS for the claim. that this is all my fault and not his problem. i gave him the phone number to postal annex (951) 924-3700 so he can call them and figure out why they say he came by to pick up the tranny when he said he doesn't have it but nope, he doesn't want to cooperate and help his customer out. he just wants to blame everything on me.

and about the part that was "supposedly" damaged during shipment, i think it was already damaged before it was shipped. because of the fracture and where the part was located. it sits a step lower than the housing.

You insured the item because you knew the item was damaged already and you packed the tranny in hope that it would get damaged during shipment.


ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK OR THE TRANSMISSION. that's all i ask. i don't understand your types of people. coming into a forum and stealing from others like me that work hard for their money

Cliff Notes:

1)paid for tranny aug 28,2008
2)i receive it
3)find out tranny is ****ed
4)filed a claim with UPS and they came and picked it up
5)Mark(seller) is being unreasonable and won't communicate or send me my cash back or the tranny

(Mark is also using multiple screen names)

Wow, this is very intresting. He sounds like a scam artist. Fist off, I have an account with NWP and HT but I use the same name for both. He figured out a way to scam people. With multiple names he can sell multiple stuff. I say boot him!

Seems like he's ignoring almost everything. I say file a civil's claim when you come to SoCal that way your garaunteed your money.
