very black oil... help?
the oil has about 200 miles (not even that much) and the oil looked like diesel oil when it came out..
note : motor has been rebuilt only about 170 miles on it.., a oil filter WAS NOT replaced since the last ring lands cracked meaning im still using the same oil filter from when i blew the motor, and on top of all that i have been running SUPER rich for a while,, BUT i couldnt sniff out gas in the oil.
any ideas?

you are a dumbass........thats my first idea
second idea that comes to mine is to install a NEW oil filter and have it tuned so it wont contaminate your oil.

no **** "dumbass" say something more helpful you forum *****.
oil filter had like 200 miles on it in total and i wanted to fire the motor up and drive to get new filters and yada yada.
no ****ing way oil thats 180 miles used comes out almost like diesel unless its just cuz im running way rich
now go jerk off the your google.com answers and let someone helpful answer
you see if you ever changed the oil on a diesel you would notice that diesel oil as soon as it goes in the motor idle it for 10 secs and the oil will come out blacker then hell, thats what im trying to say and this oil was just damn black i mean i was running it very rich for like 4 days w/ 450 cc injectors and 9 heat range spark plug = missfired cuz it was so rich, im thinking that + not replacing the filter must have been to reason for it to come out very shitty.
one thing about using a oil filter from a blown motor is that it could have metal shavings in it. and another thing it would be helpful if you tell us what motor this is what year and what ecu your working with
It is most likely carbon in the oil from running way too rich. The oil filter is only there to get out big chunks like dead birds and tree branches, not the ultra fine particles that come from a rich mixture. How does the oil have 200 miles on it if you rebuilt it 170 miles ago? Did you reuse the old oil? Also, if you reused the old filter it sounds like you repaired the engine not rebuilt it. Oil turning black is not necessarily a bad thing it just the detergent cleaning out the engine.
