I have an 05 civic si hatch and the tranny just went out (lame). Im putting in 02 rsx-s 6 speed tranny in it now. Any suggestions on what clutch I should get?? My car is total stock but I will be modding it soon so I was thinkin since the tranny is out right now I would just get a stage two clutch.....help me please!!

 

sure do that. I've stated my opinion about clutches before and its just an opinion. Depending on your mods planned just do the stage 2

 

Cluch choice = your plans for mods going foward....for a stock ep3, I sugest a stock type-s clutch and flywheel....good for 200 whp and the fly wheel is lighter so the a3 revs better.

 

You can snag the Type R flywheel which is like 10 lbs or something for pretty cheap on hmotorsonline.com. I wouldn't OVERdo the clutch. I see a lot of people putting a way beefier clutch than needed and wasting money for nothing.

As for brands. Stick with stuff that people are saying they've had good luck with. Don't go with the cheaper brand that still looks good. My friend did that with his Turbo EG and is already replacing the clutch like 2000 miles later. Even though it was rated for his power it just didn't hold.

 

agreed ... stick with whats in the type s tranny your swapping in ... save the money for later ...
