So, for all those who have a set of JDM Recaro seats... Where did you find a pair in decent condition?! I have been searching for 6 months for a set that are in good shape and I can't find any. Also, how is the fitment for DC5 Type R seats in a DC2? Any help with pointing me in the right direction would be amazing!

I had DC5 Recaros in my old 92 Civic. Fitment is the same as DC2 Recaros

jdmland doesnt update there site to often with rare items such as mint recaros, just because of how fast they sell. You really just have to keep calling them every week or so to see if they get any shipments in. I know i was going to buy a set of mint DC5 recaors off them a while back and the day i sat on it to think about it was the same day they sold, once you find a set you really need to jump on them because they wont last for long. DC5/DC2 recaros are getting harder and harder to find in mint condition, but fitment will be the same, you just have to switch the brackets on the dc5 seats with dc2 rails, or you can get some vision low seats brackets/rails, which ive heard are great.....hope this helped, good luck in your search!

Also, DC5 seats are slightly taller in the headrest area and the seat cushion is slightly wider compared to the DC2 seats.

 

h motors, jdm engines corp, ebay, i always see sets on ebay for 1000 from the jdm importer outfits. even the rare black sets show up from time to time. many of these outfits also have various bride seats with the DC2 brackets. don't worry too much about spots and grime. a professional carpet cleaner {like myself} can pull that stuff out. to make a long story short i own mountain view carpet care and the truck mounts we use shoot 230deg water with whichever chemical is needed into the fiber with vacuum behind it. i have this citrus shi* that just pulls grime. same with castrol super clean. seats look new when done provided the cloth and foam are in good condition. we normally charge $99 to do the entire car

What color Recaros are you looking for? If you want MINT and I mean MINT seats, I can get you a pair. Feel free to ask DAfamousR and Coolhandluke, the quality of seats I got for them.

I can get you a set of MINT red or black DC5 seats today, if you like. I can tell you though, cheap Recaros will mean they have holes, pulls, or excesive wear. MINT ones will cost you as they are getting harder and harder to find, and their prices are only going to keep going up!

I just bought a set from Matt at ICBMotorsports/JDM Land last week. One seat and seat rail are literally brand new, the other (jdm driver) is extremely mint. As suggested, call Matt and see what he has in stock or soon to be in stock. Matt will take excellent care of you.

They're all out. The guy said 3-4 weeks for some more.

 

DC5 seats are taller which might hit the ceiling when you fold them.

Sounds like you got a steal... $700 typically buys you seats that are pretty used
